Xact’s technology is grounded in proven geological science—methods used in the mining and exploration sectors to accurately predict subsurface resources. We’ve adapted this same approach for agriculture to map and understand soil chemistry at scale.

The Xact Fertility Tool uses deep learning AI to analyze multispectral satellite data—combined with targeted physical soil samples—to detect soil minerals through light refraction. Each image covers a 109 km² area, producing millions of data points per field and delivering a detailed, high-resolution snapshot of soil chemistry.

To ensure data integrity and accuracy, every satellite scene is calibrated annually using a proprietary soil sampling protocol carried out by trained agronomists and approved lab partners.
